Stella Pevsner was born in Lincoln, IL. She attended Illinois University and Northwestern University. In addition to her career as a writer, she has worked as a teacher and an advertising copywriter. One of her children challenged her to write an entertaining book for kids, and she decided to give it a try. Break a Leg was published a year later, and many successful juvenile novels dealing with contemporary life have followed. She has written on such topics as divorce, dyslexia, sibling rivalry,...
